Our Story
Sweet Wind Farm is a small-scale, livestock and dairy farm, in the process of becoming as self sufficient as possible. We strive to raise and create the best products from our animals, and share them with our community
We began raising our own poultry for meat and eggs in the back yard of our Connecticut home in 2016, and quickly found ourselves raising broilers for family and friends as well. After moving to Hammond in 2021, we decided to start a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) membership program for those interested in pasture raised pork and poultry, and launched our inaugural season in 2022 with 8 memberships.
2022 was also the year we were able to purchase our current farmstead, which came with a doublewide trailer on the property. This trailer is currently being renovated to become an on farm bakery run by Jocie, who is a trained pastry chef, and we hope to be running it full time by the end of 2023. In the years to come we also have plans to expand into dairy products, farm-grown fruits and nuts, and handcrafted wood products.
